When Tirala turned two years old, I knew I wanted to celebrate differently.
I wanted to create an experience that reflected what Tirala has become—not just a beauty lounge, but a community. A place where people feel safe to embrace their natural hair, celebrate who they are, and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.
That's how 4444 came to life.
Why 4444?
The name is simple, yet deeply meaningful.
Tirala officially opened its doors on 4 April 2024 (04.04.2024). Those four fours represent the beginning of a dream that was built with passion, resilience, countless lessons, and the unwavering belief that curly and textured hair deserves to be celebrated.
Every milestone since then has been shaped by the incredible people who have trusted Tirala with their hair, their confidence, and often, their stories.
This event was my way of celebrating all of us.
A Place That Feels Like Tirala
There was only one place I wanted to host this gathering.
A beautiful farm that has always reminded me of the breathtaking mountains of Tirala, Georgia—the place that inspired the name of my salon.
Long before Tirala Beauty Lounge existed, I fell in love with the peaceful feeling those mountains gave me. They represented calmness, nature, freedom, and grounding. I wanted every person who attended 4444 to experience even a small piece of that feeling.
Surrounded by greenery, open skies, and fresh air, it felt like the perfect setting to slow down and simply be present.
More Than a Wellness Event
The day wasn't about beauty treatments or hair.
It was about caring for ourselves in a different way.
Together, we experienced breathwork, sound healing, meaningful conversations, and moments of quiet reflection. We disconnected from our busy schedules and reconnected with ourselves, with nature, and with one another.
There was something incredibly special about seeing a group of curly-haired women gathered together—not because of their hair alone, but because they shared a space where authenticity was welcomed.
There was no pressure to be anything other than ourselves.
Just laughter, peaceful moments, genuine conversations, and a sense of belonging.
What Tirala Means Today
When I first dreamed of opening Tirala, I thought I was creating a salon.
Over the past two years, I've realized I was creating something much bigger.
Tirala has become a place where confidence grows, friendships begin, and people rediscover the beauty of embracing what makes them unique.
Watching everyone connect during 4444 reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
Hair has always been the beginning of the conversation—but it has never been the whole story.
Behind every appointment is a person, and behind every curl is a story worth celebrating.
